Want to inspire your students to blog? The Educational Technology and Mobile Learning blog at educatorstechnology.com suggests that you have your students check out the student blogs that have been nominated for the Best Student Blogs Edublog Awards. The 57 blogs represent a wide variety of student interests including a high school help desk that describes itself as a “student run genius bar” to a blog entitled “austicandproud.” Most of the educational blogging I see teachers doing with students is content-related classroom blogging, which is great. Yet, many of the finalists for this award show what can happen when teachers encourage their kiddos to let their blogging become true reflections of their personalities and interests.
